Year-round Events in the 41 Municipalities of Okinawa, Japan and around the World

The Okinawa International Movie Festival is an event that entertains Okinawa throughout the year, and not just during the festival.
Joining with locals in a variety of events including movies, comedy, music and sports, the charms of every corner of Okinawa will be presented via media throughout Japan and overseas, building momentum towards the festival opening in April.

Events throughout Okinawa Prefecture

Various film screenings and live events are held with the cooperation of the 41 Okinawan municipalities, Okinawa Prefecture, the Okinawa Convention & Visitors Bureau, and so on.

41 Municipalities! Big Tour through all the Islands

A “50 Days to the Festival” Ceremony will be held on February 28 at the Naha Tenbusu Square. This will also mark the beginning of the “41 Municipalities! Big Tour through all the Islands”, traveling through all of Okinawa’s 41 municipalities.
This will involve various content, such as comedy, rakugo, music, dance, sports, and workshops. We will bring smiles and entertainment to every town. All the islands can enjoy the countdown to the movie festival.
