Story

Emotionally scarred from his life in Tokyo, Makoto Mikami had returned to his hometown Yatsushiro City in Kumamoto Prefecture, leading a dissolute life there. One day, he walks into his old high school while wandering around aimlessly and sees Kenji, his high school buddy who was supposed to have died in an accident. Inspired by his encounter with Kenji, Makoto gathers his former club friends from his high school broadcasting club to resume shooting a film they had been making. The team includes Hachi, a natural airhead, and Mariko who has always been the reliable one, both also living with their own troubles and pain. As Makoto and company continue making their movie to regain their glorious high school days, gradually they win back their lives, but the dream-like time nears its end. This story depicts the pain of living, through a ghost and youth that has come too late.

Yatsushiro is a city in the south of Kumamoto Prefecture with the second largest population in the prefecture. Home to the factories of Nippon Paper and Mercian,Yatsushiro prospers as an industrial zone. On the other hand, it is also well known as an agricultural region producing grass and tomatoes. Recently, it specializes in making the citrus fruit Banpeiyu,boasting the number one production volume in Japan.
In its southern tip lies Hinagu hot spring town with a total of 16 hot springs. Most of the Japanese inns there have their own free-flowing hot spring.
The Myoken Festival held at Yatsushiro Shrine and Yatsushiro National Fireworks Competition also draw many tourists to the city every year.
